Privacy Policy

What visitor information is collected

This policy describes what the site and third parties can see when you visit DevKit Tools. How text you paste into a tool is handled is covered in the privacy notes.

Effective September 22, 2026

Who runs this site

DevKit Tools (happytool.org) is operated by Brook as an individual. The contact address is brookzheng666@gmail.com.

Visitor information we see ourselves

Pages are hosted on Vercel. While serving a page, the host processes ordinary access logs, which can include an IP address, the time of the request, the browser type and the URL requested. Those logs are for security and troubleshooting. They are not joined to anything you type into a tool.

The site does not ask you to register and does not collect a name, phone number or payment details. Mail you send to the address above is used only to read and reply.

Preferences stored on your device

Theme, interface language, whether tools open fullscreen by default, and the draft-cache switch live in localStorage. They are not cookies and they are not sent to a server. Draft caching is off until you turn it on; only then is the current tool’s input kept on the device, and turning the switch off deletes those drafts.

Share links put the input after the # in the address bar. That fragment is not sent to the server with the HTTP request.

Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-D9TST9ZN7R) to see which pages and tools are used. Besides ordinary page views, it reports a fixed list of events, such as which tool was opened and whether the input size was empty, small, medium or large. The list of events and fields is the one on the privacy notes page.

Analytics never includes the text of a tool input or a fragment of it. Google may set its own cookies and use an IP address to estimate a rough region, under Google’s policies.

Advertising

The site uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-2699061840180575) to show ads that pay for hosting.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Users may also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

The ad script cannot see what you paste or type into a tool.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information, and we do not give tool input to the ad or analytics services. This site is not directed at children.
